NTPC Limited has submitted a regulatory disclosure on behalf of its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) regarding the declaration of commercial operation for a solar power project.

The disclosure announces that the third part capacity of 50 MW Solar Capacity out of cumulative 150 MW Solar component has been declared commercially operational. This capacity is part of a 100 MW RE Round The Clock (RTC) project located in Rajasthan.

The project is owned by Project Eleven Renewable Power Private Limited, which is described as a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a joint venture of NGEL.

The commercial operation date is effective from 00:00 hours of 31st July 2026.

Capacity Impact

With this addition:

  • NTPC group's total installed capacity now stands at 91,080 MW
  • NTPC group's commercial capacity stands at 90,000 MW
  • NGEL group's current commercial capacity stands at 10,786.56 MW
  • NGEL group's total installed capacity will increase to 10,836.56 MW
