NTPC Limited, through its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has disclosed the declaration of commercial operation for two wind energy projects developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL and thus a stepdown subsidiary of NTPC Limited). The disclosure is made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The specific projects declared commercially operational are:

  • Vanki Wind Energy Project: Fourth part capacity of 6.3 MW located at Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat. This is part of the 1050 MW wind component under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project.
  • Jamjodhpur Wind Energy Project: First part capacity of 50.4 MW located at Jamnagar, Gujarat. This is also part of the 1050 MW wind component under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project.

Both project capacities were declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hours on 22nd September 2026.

Capacity Impact

For NTPC Green Energy Limited Group:

  • The current commercial capacity stands at 10,920.53 MW.
  • With the addition of this 56.7 MW (6.3 MW + 50.4 MW) capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group increases to 10,977.23 MW.

For NTPC Limited Group (Parent Company):

  • With this addition, the total installed capacity of the entire NTPC group now stands at 91,221 MW.
  • The commercial capacity of the entire NTPC group now stands at 90,141 MW.
