Nvidia Announces Australian Data Center Partnerships

Nvidia disclosed on 10 September 2026 that it will collaborate with a group of Australian data‑centre and cloud providers—Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, Megaport, CDC, NextDC and AirTrunk—to expand cloud‑computing capacity in Australia over the coming years. The collaborations will utilise Nvidia’s DSX platform to construct additional data‑centre infrastructure.

The company targets the deployment of roughly 2 gigawatts of AI compute capacity in Australia by the end of 2027. No financial terms of the agreements were disclosed in the statement. Nvidia said the expanded capacity will enable local innovators to develop models, applications and agents, and will support additional power‑generation projects to meet regional and global AI demand.

The announcement adds to Nvidia’s ongoing global effort to increase data‑centre capacity to satisfy rapidly rising demand for AI processing power, leveraging its position as the producer of the most advanced AI processors in the market.
