Dell Technologies shares jumped about 6% on Monday after reports that Nvidia is negotiating to acquire a major PC manufacturer.
HP Inc. stock also rose roughly 3% amid speculation that the potential buyer could be either Dell or HP.
Neither Nvidia, Dell nor HP have confirmed the acquisition talks, and the report did not name the target company.
