Overview
The NX Group, a collection of companies under Nippon Express Holdings, Inc., participated in SEMICON India 2026, a three‑day semiconductor trade show held in New Delhi from September 17 to September 19, 2026. The exhibition attracted more than 600 organisations—including semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers and government agencies—from around the world and recorded approximately 40,000 visitors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the opening day, underscoring the event’s significance for India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
MOU Signing with ISM
On September 18, the second day of the show, the NX Group conducted a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). The MOU creates a framework for logistics cooperation aimed at building India’s semiconductor ecosystem, facilitating information sharing on challenges related to the transport of semiconductor‑related cargo and logistics infrastructure, and exploring appropriate forms of collaboration. The signing attracted extensive media coverage, providing the NX Group a platform to showcase its logistics initiatives.
Logistics Strategy Presentation
During the event, NX Group representatives were interviewed by Indian and global media outlets. They described the Group’s end‑to‑end logistics solutions, which encompass air and ocean freight, customs clearance, warehousing, factory delivery, installation support, and shipment of finished semiconductor products. The Group emphasized its Indo‑Pacific Strategy, identifying the Indo‑Pacific region—centred on India and extending to the Middle East, East, West and Southern Africa—as a key growth market. It highlighted the intention to leverage its global network and semiconductor logistics expertise to support customer growth and regional industrial development.
Future Outlook
The NX Group stated that India is a pivotal growth market for its long‑term vision of becoming “a logistics company with a strong presence in the global market.” It pledged to continue expanding its logistics infrastructure and services in India, while seeking closer collaboration with customers and partners to develop sustainable supply chains for the semiconductor industry.
Media Interaction
A notable interview was conducted with Katsuhito Kobayashi, Managing Director of NX South Asia & Oceania, who reiterated the Group’s commitment to supporting India’s semiconductor ecosystem through logistics excellence.
