Announcement

On 9 September 2026, from Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, Officebing released a press statement announcing a new UK‑India business expansion initiative aimed at assisting UK‑based companies in establishing, launching and scaling operations in India.

Programme Overview

The initiative consolidates all entry‑related workstreams—entity formation, statutory compliance, location and workplace strategy, talent acquisition, technology deployment, security, and Day‑1 workplace readiness—under a single accountable point of contact. It is structured around three progressive stages: Establish (planning, entity setup, compliance, location strategy), Launch (talent hiring, managed or build‑to‑suit offices, technology and security implementation, Day‑1 readiness), and Scale (additional capacity, new locations, multi‑city expansion, ongoing operations).

Alignment with UK‑India CETA

The launch follows the activation of the UK‑India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) on 15 July 2026. The UK government estimates total UK‑India trade at £48 billion in 2025 and projects that CETA could lift bilateral trade by approximately 39%, equating to an additional £25.5 billion annually by 2040. Officebing positions the initiative as a response to the anticipated rise in market‑entry demand driven by this trade framework.

Target Audience

The service is open to a broad spectrum of UK enterprises, including founders, small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs), mid‑market companies, and larger corporations. Target sectors span technology and SaaS, professional services, financial services, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and business services. The model is deliberately flexible, allowing firms at any point of their India journey—from initial evaluation to existing operations seeking further growth—to engage.

Operational Model and Existing Capabilities

Officebing leverages its existing Global Capability Centre (GCC) framework, which follows a seven‑stage model: Establish, Plan, Build, Connect, Launch, Operate and Scale. This framework already covers statutory requirements, location planning, customised workplaces, IT and security infrastructure, facilities management, hospitality, and subsequent expansion to additional seats, floors, locations or cities. Where specialised professional services are required, they can be integrated into the broader engagement.

Leadership and Contact Points

Co‑Founder Rohit Gawali stated that the difficulty for international businesses lies not in recognising India’s potential but in coordinating the multiple workstreams needed after the entry decision. He emphasized that Officebing’s objective is to provide a single accountable contact to streamline the journey from planning to operational scaling.

A dedicated UK‑based liaison, Gurjeet Singh Oberoi, will serve as the primary contact for UK companies, offering a London‑based connection while coordinating India‑side requirements.

Availability

The initiative is open to companies actively preparing an Indian operation as well as those still assessing the opportunity. Interested UK businesses can contact Gurjeet Singh Oberoi to discuss their plans and understand the specific requirements involved.
