Ola Electric announced readiness of its in-house developed Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cell, marking a key milestone in its electric mobility mission.
The new 46100 format LFP cell is bigger than current NMC 4680 Bharat Cell and will begin entering products starting next quarter.
Ola Gigafactory capacity currently at 2.5 GWh is being scaled up to 6 GWh, reflecting rapid progress in cell manufacturing capabilities.
LFP technology expected to unlock further vehicle cost reductions and accelerate EV adoption while establishing foundation for battery storage solutions.
