The milestone was marked by a ceremonial handover of the 4,000th bus to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, during the flag‑off of an additional 297 Olectra electric buses that will join the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fleet.
The company highlighted that its nationwide fleet of 4,000 electric buses has already accumulated more than 730 million green kilometres, which has prevented the emission of over 650,000 tonnes of CO₂, contributing significantly to cleaner air and India’s sustainable mobility goals. Olectra also disclosed that its order book now exceeds 8,500 electric vehicles, reflecting robust demand from state transport undertakings across multiple states and cities.
