Press Release – Oolka AI‑Powered Credit Platform Expansion

On October 5, 2026, Oolka announced that its AI‑driven credit management platform is now used by more than one crore (over 10 million) Indian consumers across 19,065 of the country’s approximately 19,100 pincodes, covering all 36 states and union territories.

The platform’s AI assistant, Oolka AI, reads a user’s Experian credit report line‑by‑line and translates the information into plain language in more than 100 Indian languages. It automatically identifies entries that weaken a credit profile, such as repaid loans still shown as active, incorrect late‑payment records, duplicate accounts and high credit‑card utilisation. One in three users send screenshots of financial documents for explanation, and the system has processed 40 lakh voice‑note messages.

When Oolka AI detects an error, it files a dispute with the credit bureau, drafts No‑Objection‑Certificate (NOC) and account‑closure requests to lenders, and tracks each interaction until resolution, preserving a complete history of emails, disputes and lender replies. For credit‑profile improvement, the AI builds a personalised repayment plan that prioritises the costliest debt, flags excessive card utilisation, suggests consolidation where it reduces total cost, and drafts restructuring, settlement and penalty‑waiver requests to lenders.

More than 14,000 Oolka users now experience a rise in their credit scores in a typical week, which is three times the weekly average recorded in June. A highlighted case involved a school‑van operator in Gurugram whose credit score was stagnant due to a ₹5 overdue balance and card utilisation above 80 %. After Oolka AI cleared the balance and reduced utilisation, the user’s score improved and he secured a consumer loan.

“The credit score tells you something is wrong. It doesn’t tell you what’s wrong – or help you fix it,” said Kumar, adding that users prefer sending voice notes over typing and should be able to understand their report in their own language before someone acts on it.

Checking a credit report on the Oolka app is free; users are charged only when Oolka AI takes action on their behalf, such as filing a dispute or negotiating with a lender. The app holds a 4.8 rating on the Google Play Store.
