OpenAI launches GPT-Rosalind for drug discovery

OpenAI released GPT-Rosalind, an AI model tailored for biology, drug discovery, and translational medicine, available via research preview.
The model integrates tool use across chemistry, protein engineering, genomics, and connects to 50+ scientific tools via a new Life Sciences plugin.
In benchmarks, GPT-Rosalind scored 0.751 on BixBench and outperformed GPT-5.4 on 6 of 11 LABBench2 tasks.
Partnerships include Amgen, Moderna, Allen Institute, Thermo Fisher, and Dyno Therapeutics, with model ranking above 95th percentile of experts on RNA prediction.
