Project Overview

Oriano Clean Energy Private Limited announced that construction has commenced on a 420 MWp (311 MW AC) solar EPC project for a global steel conglomerate in Gujarat. The mandate is a recurring engagement, following an earlier 295 MWp turnkey EPC solar project that Oriano commissioned and currently operates under its asset‑management team.

Technical Specifications and Timeline

The new solar plant will be developed on approximately 1,200 acres using fixed‑tilt mounting structures and central inverters. Construction started in August 2025, and commissioning will occur in phases, with the first capacities expected to be online by mid‑2027.

Expected Output and Environmental Impact

When fully operational, the facility is projected to generate about 750 million units (MUs) of clean electricity each year, which will offset an estimated 535,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
