Launch Overview
On Thursday, 11 June 2026, Orient Electric Limited, a member of the USD 3 billion CKA Birla Group, announced the launch of Aerosilent, marketed as India’s most silent ceiling fan. Independent laboratory testing of 1200 mm fans confirms a sound level of less than 50 dB, making it roughly 20 % quieter than conventional ceiling fans.
Design and Technology
Aerosilent has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2026 for its contemporary aesthetic. The fan incorporates a reverse aerofoil blade design that smooths airflow, reduces turbulence, and curtails noise. It delivers up to 260 CMM of airflow while being powered by Orient Electric’s BLDC Pro motor, which provides 50 % energy savings compared with traditional induction fans and maintains consistent performance during voltage fluctuations.
Product Variants and Positioning
The fan is offered in classic solid colours and premium dual‑tone finishes, intended to complement modern interiors. Its launch extends Orient Electric’s Aero Series portfolio, which earlier introduced Aero O2, India’s first oxygen‑enriching ceiling fan featuring patented Bio‑Oxy Plasma ION+ technology.
Executive Commentary
Ravindra Singh Negi, Managing Director and CEO of Orient Electric, stated that the company’s innovation agenda focuses on consumer‑driven needs such as reduced fan noise, enhanced airflow, and energy efficiency. He highlighted the positive consumer response to the Aero O2 fan and emphasized that Aerosilent’s design was shaped by extensive feedback from consumers, architects, and interior designers.
