Orient Paper & Industries Limited has disclosed changes in its senior management personnel under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

Resignation of Chief Operating Officer

The Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Mr. C.S. Kashikar as Chief Operating Officer of the Company, effective from the close of business hours on 29th June, 2026. Mr. Kashikar was designated as Senior Management Personnel under Regulation 16(1)(d) of SEBI Listing Regulations.

The resignation was submitted via email on 29th June, 2026 at 1:42 PM to Managing Director Anant Agarwal. In his resignation letter, Mr. Kashikar stated he was resigning from his position at the company's Amlai Paper Mills at Amlai Plant (Madhya Pradesh) due to personal reasons. He agreed to complete all requisite formalities and abide by the terms and conditions of his employment.

The Board placed on record its appreciation for the contributions made by Mr. Kashikar during his tenure with the Company.

Appointment of New Chief Operating Officer

The Board appointed Mr. Yogendra K. Varshney as the new Chief Operating Officer, effective from 30th June, 2026. Mr. Varshney is also designated as Senior Management Personnel under Regulation 16(1)(d) of SEBI Listing Regulations.

Mr. Varshney's terms of appointment shall commence from 30th June, 2026 and shall continue until his resignation or upon attaining the age of retirement (as per the Company's policy), whichever is earlier.

Professional Background of New COO

Mr. Yogendra K. Varshney is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from the Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow University with over 30 years of extensive work experience in Manufacturing Operations, Production Operations, and Project Management. He has developed, aligned, and integrated manufacturing strategies and action plans in line with company's strategic and financial direction.

His previous positions include:

  • Executive Director (Operations) & Chief Risk Officer at Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd
  • Chief Operating Officer at Genus Paper & Boards Ltd
  • Senior Vice President-Plant Operations at Kuantum Papers Ltd
  • Head (Process) at Century Pulp & Paper
  • Production Manager at Reckitt Benckiser India Pvt. Ltd.
  • Senior Executive at Hindustan Unilever Ltd

Mr. Varshney has been recognized with several prestigious industry awards, including the Business Super Achiever Award 2026 from World HRD Congress, Director's Special Awards at Reckitt Benckiser, and the Directors' Special Award for outstanding achievements for the year 2006 at Hindustan Unilever Limited, Haridwar.
