Oriflame Announces Transfer of Indian Manufacturing Operations
On July 27, 2026, Oriflame, the Swedish holistic beauty and wellbeing brand, disclosed that it has entered into an agreement to transfer its manufacturing operations in India to Pure and Cure Healthcare Private Limited, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited, one of India’s leading contract development and manufacturing organisations (CDMOs). The transaction covers Oriflame India’s manufacturing facilities located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and the receipt of all required regulatory approvals.
Under the agreement, Oriflame and Akums will forge a long‑term strategic manufacturing and supply partnership. Akums will continue to manufacture Oriflame products, thereby ensuring continuity of supply and maintaining the high quality standards expected by Oriflame Beauty Entrepreneurs and customers. Employees currently working at the Roorkee and Noida sites will be offered continued employment with the new owner on the same terms and conditions.
Oriflame’s commercial operations, its network of Beauty Entrepreneurs, trademarks and all customer‑facing activities in India are expressly excluded from the transaction and will remain under the control of Oriflame India Private Limited.
Anna Malmhake, CEO and President of Oriflame, stated that India is an important market and that the partnership secures access to high‑quality manufacturing capabilities while providing greater operational flexibility aligned with Oriflame’s sourcing strategy. Edyta Kurek, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Oriflame India, emphasized that the partnership preserves the three‑decade‑old manufacturing standards at the Roorkee and Noida facilities and assures business‑as‑usual for Beauty Entrepreneurs and customers.
The press release also highlighted Oriflame’s broader presence: the company operates in over 60 markets, supports more than 3 million Beauty Entrepreneurs worldwide through a social‑selling model, and has been recognised as a European Climate Leader by the Financial Times and Statista for five consecutive years. In India, Oriflame continues to promote financial independence for women while advancing holistic wellbeing.
