More than 20 developers and construction companies have evaluated the robot through live demonstrations. Several of these evaluations have advanced to commercial discussions, repeat purchases, and scaling talks, indicating a shift from mere interest to concrete integration planning. The robot is currently operated and supervised on site by painters themselves, demonstrating that existing construction workers can transition from manual execution to robotic supervision.
Technical Capabilities
Centa Painter is a proprietary, multi‑tasking robot capable of performing putty application, sanding, priming and painting on walls and ceilings. It can execute these tasks up to 10 times faster than conventional manual methods, requires up to 80 % less manpower, and delivers up to 3 times cost savings while maintaining consistent quality. The platform perceives its surroundings, identifies work surfaces and obstacles, and dynamically plans its work, allowing operation in the unstructured, ever‑changing environment of construction sites. Its modular design enables the same robot to perform multiple finishing processes.
Development History
The robot represents the culmination of four years of R&D, on‑site trials and pilots with leading developers and contractors before achieving commercial deployment. Pace Robotics claims Centa Painter is the first and only multi‑tasking robot for building finishes fully developed and commercialised in India.
