AI‑Driven Code Generation at Paisabazaar

Paisabazaar, India’s leading marketplace for financial products and a free credit‑score platform, announced that artificial intelligence now writes approximately 86 % of the new code on its platform. This automation is reported to have significantly improved development velocity, enabling the company to build, test and deploy products faster and more efficiently.

Chief Technology Officer Mukesh Sharma explained that AI has fundamentally changed the way engineering teams build, emphasizing that the goal is not to replace engineers but to make them more productive by removing repetitive development work. Engineers can now devote more time to architecture, complex problem‑solving, systems thinking and innovation, while AI handles routine coding, testing, debugging and documentation tasks under human oversight.

Despite the extensive AI integration, Paisabazaar is expanding its technology team, signalling that the productivity gains are being used to broaden the product and technology roadmap rather than to cut headcount. The company expects AI to allow it to experiment faster, address more problems simultaneously, and expand the surface area of what it can build.

Beyond engineering, AI is being deployed across consumer‑facing experiences to simplify complex credit information, generate personalised credit insights, and enable more contextual interactions. Machine‑learning models support product discovery and lending journeys, enhancing personalisation and decision‑support capabilities for users.
