Parsi Dairy Farm’s 110‑Year Celebration Through a Diwali Rap
Parsi Dairy Farm, the Mumbai‑based dairy and mithai brand that was founded on Princess Street in 1916, marks its 110th anniversary by releasing a 70‑second Diwali‑themed film and track titled “This Is Diwali, Giving.” The piece is a collaboration with Mumbai rapper Mohak and was shot entirely inside the brand’s iconic Marine Lines store, using the counters, the kulfi freezer and the red door as the backdrop.
The rap narrates contemporary Diwali scenes – a full house, family selfies, a cousin reaching for the last barfi, and the box of sweets carried when visiting relatives. It showcases Parsi Dairy Farm’s signature offerings, including barela peda, sutarfeni, kulfi, and ghee, alongside this year’s new chocolate dragees and flavored nuts, all displayed in Diwali hampers.
The hook of the song is released as an open‑audio clip on Instagram, allowing anyone to incorporate it into their own Diwali reels. The full track has been live on Parsi Dairy Farm’s Instagram handle since 23 October.
“Most of Mumbai has a Parsi Dairy Farm memory. This Diwali we wanted to make something for the generation making the memories now, in their language and their format. The rap is still about what we have always been about: a box of mithai, given to someone you love,” said Zeenia K. Patel, Director of Branding and Marketing at Parsi Dairy Farm.
Diwali hampers featuring the highlighted sweets are available at the Marine Lines, Borivali, Ghatkopar, and Talasari stores, as well as through the Parsi Dairy Farm app, website, and delivery platforms Swiggy and Zomato.
