Parul University CSR Initiatives Overview
On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, Parul University released a press statement detailing a suite of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes spearheaded by Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President and Medical Director. The narrative emphasizes the belief that "women empowerment thrives rapidly when opportunities are offered for sustained independence, dignity and growth."
The university’s CSR portfolio includes the Garima Women Livelihood Centres, which have directly benefitted over 1,000 women in Vadodara by providing livelihood opportunities and skill‑building programmes. Complementing this, the Sahiyar Gram Haat initiative creates market platforms for women artisans to exhibit and sell their crafts directly to consumers.
In partnership with the Apollo Tyres Foundation, the university operates the “TRUPT” store within the Parul Sevashram Hospital. This outlet generates employment benefits and livelihood opportunities for women residing in surrounding villages.
The Parul Mahila Credit Cooperative Society is highlighted as a consistent contributor to the economic stability and financial inclusion of women, reinforcing the broader empowerment agenda.
Further extending its CSR outreach, Dr. Patel helped organise the CSR Convention & Best Practices in CSR Awards in collaboration with HelpAge India. This annual forum convenes NGOs, corporate houses, social activists, and change‑makers to discuss and recognise notable CSR activities.
The university’s “Health for All” programme has executed large‑scale health camps, reaching more than 61,150 patients across the region, thereby expanding access to essential healthcare services.
Collectively, these initiatives underscore Parul University’s commitment to sustainable community transformation through women’s empowerment, healthcare delivery, rural development, financial inclusion, and collaborative social impact projects.
