Parul University announced its first appearance in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, securing a position in the 1601‑1800 global band. This makes it the sole university from Gujarat to be listed in this globally recognised ranking, highlighting a new milestone in the institution’s international visibility.

The university’s global ranking journey began with its debut in the THE Impact Rankings 2025, where it was placed in the 1001‑1500 global band and ranked among the top 50 institutions in India. Building on that performance, Parul University entered the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, climbing to the 401‑600 global band and achieving a top‑40 position within India.

Detailed Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) rankings were disclosed: for SDG 4 – Quality Education, the university attained the 46th position worldwide and the 7th position in India, placing it in the global top 50; for SDG 5 – Gender Equality, it ranked 60th globally and 6th in India, entering the global top 100; for SDG 3 – Good Health and Well‑being, it fell within the 101‑200 global band and was among the top 10 institutions in India; for SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, it was positioned in the 401‑600 global band and ranked within the top 50 in India; and for SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, it moved into the 201‑300 global band, securing a top‑20 spot in India.

Commenting on the achievement, Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President of Parul University, described the ranking as “a deeply meaningful milestone for Parul University and Gujarat.” She noted that experiences from the Impact Rankings and Sustainability Impact Ratings have heightened the university’s awareness of measurable academic and societal impact, and affirmed the institution’s commitment to further global recognition through sustained research, collaborations, and institutional growth.

The press release underscores that the 1601‑1800 band serves as a reference point rather than an endpoint, signalling Parul University’s intent to deepen global engagement, strengthen research partnerships, and enhance its international profile in the coming years.
