Parul University announced its first appearance in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, securing a position in the global band 1601‑1800. This placement makes it the sole institution from Gujarat to feature in the THE World University Rankings for 2027.
The university had earlier entered the THE Impact Rankings 2025, where it was placed in the 1001‑1500 global band and ranked among the top 50 institutions in India. It subsequently improved its sustainability profile in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, attaining the 401‑600 global band and ranking within the top 40 in India.
In the SDG‑specific assessments, Parul University was ranked 46th worldwide and 7th in India for SDG 4 – Quality Education, placing it in the global top 50. For SDG 5 – Gender Equality, it achieved the 60th position globally and 6th in India, entering the global top 100. Under SDG 3 – Good Health and Well‑being, the university fell in the 101‑200 global band and was among the top 10 institutions in India. It debuted in SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure at the 401‑600 global band, ranking within the top 50 in India. For SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, it moved into the 201‑300 global band and secured a top‑20 position in India.
Vice President Dr. Geetika Madan Patel commented that the THE World University Rankings debut is “a deeply meaningful milestone for Parul University and Gujarat,” emphasizing the institution’s commitment to measurable academic and societal impact and signalling further efforts toward greater global visibility, research collaborations, and sustained growth.
The press release underscores that the 1601‑1800 band serves as a reference point rather than an endpoint, with the university aiming to enhance its international engagement and institutional profile in the coming years.
