Partnership Overview

On October 6, 2026, Parul University, located in Vadodara, Gujarat, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Innogress to create a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Quantum Computing. The MoU was formalised during a strategic engagement that included Innogress Founder and Director Mr. Sumant Parimal and Mr. Nikhil Mitaliya, Quantum Technology Expert and General Manager – India at Tabor Electronics Ltd.

Ecosystem and Stakeholders

The CoE will become part of the Greater Karnavati Quantum Computing Technology Park (GKQCTP), with Parul University joining the quantum technology ecosystem as a stakeholder. Innogress has launched this ecosystem, which is supported by more than 30 deep‑tech and quantum‑tech startups and companies, and is targeting the development of a $20 billion deep‑tech ecosystem across India.

Centre of Excellence Objectives

Parul University will leverage its existing capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Nanotechnology and broader Deep‑Tech domains to add value to the quantum technology ecosystem. The CoE is intended to provide students and researchers with new avenues to learn quantum computing, conduct research, interact with industry partners, and explore emerging technologies, thereby building a skilled talent pool for future technology environments.

Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, Vice President and Medical Director of Parul University, stated that “Quantum Computing is the future of technological development and with this MoU, the Center of Excellence will bring together academia, industry, and research into an opportunity for our students and researchers in this new area.”

Strategic Significance

The collaboration aims to create a robust ecosystem for futuristic technology in Gujarat and India, fostering stronger industry‑academia cooperation, accelerating quantum‑technology research, and enhancing Gujarat’s reputation within the national deep‑tech landscape.
