Capacity Expansion Details
Pearl Global Industries Limited (PGIL) has announced the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility and expansion of sustainable laundry capacity in Bangladesh. The new manufacturing unit adds approximately 7 million pieces of annual garment capacity at optimum utilization.

This expansion increases the company's overall installed manufacturing capacity to a total of approximately 108 million pieces per annum across all geographies.
Management Commentary
Mr. Pulkit Seth, Vice-Chairman & Non-Executive Director stated that the company continues to focus on strategic capital expenditure to capture growth opportunities in Bangladesh, which he described as an important sourcing market. He noted that Bangladesh continues to be a growth driver for the Group, supported by its favorable trade access to major global markets. The capacity addition strengthens the company's ability to serve leading global customers and represents an important milestone in their growth journey.
Mr. Pallab Banerjee, Managing Director added that the new manufacturing facility strengthens Pearl Global's multi-country manufacturing network and leverages Bangladesh's well-established apparel manufacturing ecosystem supported by a skilled and cost-efficient workforce. The expansion of the in-house sustainable laundry capacity will enhance operational efficiency, reduce washing costs and water consumption, and is expected to generate a Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of approximately 18–20%.
