Subsidiary Incorporation Details
PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), has incorporated Malegaon Power Transmission Limited as a wholly-owned Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
Background and Purpose
- PFC Consulting Limited was nominated as the 'Bid Process Coordinator' (BPC) by the Ministry of Power, Government of India for selection of developers through tariff-based competitive bidding for Independent Transmission Projects (ITPs)
- As per tariff-based competitive bidding Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power, the BPC must prepare project profile and initiate land acquisition and forest clearance processes
- The SPV was incorporated to undertake various preparatory activities including survey and report preparation, initiation of land acquisition process, and seeking forest clearance if required
Regulatory Approvals
- The State Empowered Committee on Transmission in its 10th Meeting held on 12.05.2026 nominated PFC Consulting Limited as Bid Process Coordinator
- Government of Maharashtra conveyed approval via Government Resolution No. Miscellaneous-2026/File no. 223/Energy-4 dated 10.07.2026
Future Transfer Arrangement
- The SPV will be transferred to the successful bidder selected through International Competitive Bidding Process under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Guidelines
- The successful bidder will develop the project after the bidding process is completed
