Philips Evnia Introduces 36‑inch 260 Hz Gaming Monitor

Philips Evnia announced the launch of the 36M4C5500P, described as the world’s first 36‑inch gaming monitor. The device features a 36‑inch curved fast VA panel with a 1500R curvature, delivering an Ultra‑Wide QHD resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio. The display is capable of an over‑clockable 260 Hz refresh rate, providing fluid gameplay for competitive gamers.

The monitor’s technical specifications include a 0.3 ms motion picture response time, a peak brightness of 500 nits under HDR conditions, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, which together enhance contrast, colour richness and detail compared with standard SDR screens.

Philips Evnia equipped the monitor with AI‑enhanced gaming features such as Smart MBR Sync to reduce motion blur and ghosting, ShadowBoost for brighter dark scenes, and Smart Crosshair and Smart Sniper modes that optimise visual cues for first‑person shooter titles. Tailored game modes automatically adjust settings based on the selected genre.

Connectivity options comprise dual HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 input, supporting MultiView for simultaneous dual‑source viewing. The stand is height‑adjustable with swivel and tilt functions, allowing ergonomic positioning. A distinctive design element, the Iconglow RGB lighting, illuminates the Evnia logo on the back of the monitor, offering customizable lighting effects.

Positioned between conventional ultrawide monitors and larger TV‑s, the 36‑inch form factor creates a new mid‑size ultrawide category, providing gamers with additional real‑estate while remaining suitable for most desks. Philips Evnia indicated that the 36M4C5500P will be officially released in the APAC region and will be available through select retailers.
