Press Release – July 15, 2026

PhysicsWallah founder and chief executive officer Alakh Pandey, popularly known as Alakh Sir, announced the donation of over 100 bicycles to school‑going children in Dhowapaat, Singho village, Jharkhand. The bicycles were distributed during his visit to the region to inaugurate a free digital library for students in the nearby Laxmipur village of Tisri.

During interactions with local families, Pandey learned that many children travel four to five kilometres each way on foot to reach school, a commute that often hampers regular attendance. By providing the bicycles, the initiative aims to improve school attendance, reduce travel time, and enable students to allocate more time to their studies.

Commenting on the gesture, Alakh Pandey stated, "Access to education isn’t only affected by the availability of learning resources but also by the practical challenges students face every day. I hope this small effort encourages them to keep studying, dream bigger, and move closer to the life they want to build." The effort underscores his long‑standing commitment to expanding educational accessibility, extending impact beyond classroom instruction to address daily logistical barriers.
