IMWA Production Standards Requirements

The certification requires compliance with the following production parameters:

  • Must be produced exclusively from 100% malted barley
  • Must be distilled entirely at a single distillery using copper pot stills
  • Must be crafted using only malted barley, water, and yeast
  • Must be matured for a minimum of three years in oak casks not exceeding 700 litres in capacity
