Announcement

On 11 August 2026, Piramal Realty, the real‑estate development arm of the Piramal Group, announced the delivery of The Royal Polo Pavilion, a three‑level resident clubhouse of approximately 30,000 sq ft at its Piramal Mahalaxmi project in Mumbai. The clubhouse is positioned to overlook the iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse and the Arabian Sea.

Design and Features

The pavilion was designed by the internationally‑renowned British design studio Conran and Partners. The design draws inspiration from the historic polo heritage of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, incorporating motifs such as Gulmohar trees and equestrian references. The interior palette uses warm timber, natural stone, handcrafted textiles and curated artworks created in partnership with the Piramal Art Foundation. Amenities include a gym named “The Chukker”, a children’s play area called “Colt & Filly”, a private theatre, resident lounge, banquet hall, spa, yoga studio, indoor games room, squash court and a multipurpose court.

Executive Commentary

Chief Executive Officer Abhijeet Maheshwari stated that design for the pavilion is “not just about architecture or interiors; it is about storytelling,” emphasizing that the concept was derived from the neighbourhood’s character rather than global trends. He highlighted the integration of polo‑related naming, the Gulmohar tree motif, and the collaboration with the Piramal Art Foundation as elements that celebrate Mahalaxmi’s legacy while delivering a contemporary lifestyle for residents.

Track Record

With this delivery, Piramal Realty adds to its portfolio of over 5,800 homes delivered across 24 towers, representing roughly 9.3 million sq ft of built‑up area. The company, founded in 2012, currently has about 12 million sq ft of residential real estate under development in and around Mumbai.
