Pony.ai, Uber and Verne announced partnership to start Europe’s first commercial robotaxi service in Zagreb.
Pony.ai will supply its Gen‑7 autonomous driving system, Verne will operate the fleet, and Uber will integrate rides into its app.
On‑road testing is underway in Zagreb and fare‑charging services are being prepared, with plans to scale to thousands of robotaxis Europe-wide.
Uber will invest in Verne to support expansion, partnership aims to roll out services in more European cities over coming years.
