POWERGRID's Board of Directors held a meeting on Wednesday, 10th June, 2026, which commenced at 5:15 p.m. (IST) and concluded at 6:20 p.m. (IST). The meeting was conducted in pursuance of Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended.

The Board approved the following items:

1. SCADA System Upgrade

  • Approval granted for upgradation of SCADA and Associated Systems of NTAMC/RTAMC
  • Estimated cost: ₹485.04 Crore

2. Term Loan Facility

  • Approval to avail Unsecured Term Loan Facility in Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • Loan amount: JPY 80 billion
  • Lenders: JBIC and Participating Financial Institutions

Appointment of Company Secretary & Compliance Officer

  • Experience: Over 25 years of diverse experience across corporate secretarial, legal, finance, and compliance functions
  • Expertise: Corporate governance, statutory and regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, regulatory liaison, financial planning, fund management, taxation, commercial contracts, loan agreements, intellectual property rights, and litigation
  • Key contributions at POWERGRID: Involvement in FPO and initiatives that earned organizational accolades for Corporate Governance
  • Previous role: Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT), where she played a pivotal role in its successful launch, IPO, and post-listing compliance

  • Qualifications: Qualified Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India
  • Experience: Over 35 years of post-qualification experience, with more than 32 years at POWERGRID
  • Expertise: Resource mobilization, financial concurrence, enterprise resource planning (ERP), financial accounting, and internal audit
  • Key contributions: Instrumental in driving digitization of finance operations including implementation and enhancement of SAP systems across POWERGRID
  • Previous roles: Finance Department of Northern Region-I, Head of Finance in Telecom Department, currently serving as Head of Finance (HoF) of Southern Region-I
