POWERGRID Commissions 20 GW Rajasthan RE Evacuation System

Project Commissioning Details

The transmission project "Transmission System for evacuation of Power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part-H" has been completely commissioned with effect from July 4, 2026.

Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) was dated July 9, 2026 and received via email on August 3, 2026.

The Project was entrusted to POWERGRID Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited, which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd at the time of project execution.

Corporate Structure Update

POWERGRID Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited has been amalgamated with POWERGRID Vataman Transmission Limited with effect from March 1, 2026, as per order dated January 27, 2026 of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
