Project Commissioning Details
The transmission scheme named "Transmission Scheme for integration of Renewable Energy Zone (Phase-II) in Koppal-II (Phase-A & B) and Gadag-II (Phase-A) in Karnataka" has been completely commissioned with effect from 23rd October, 2026. The Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) was received on the same date, 23rd October, 2026.
Project Execution Entity
The project was originally entrusted to POWERGRID Koppal Gadag Transmission Ltd (PKGTL), which was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. However, PKGTL was amalgamated with POWERGRID Khavda II-C Transmission Limited effective 1st March 2026, pursuant to an order dated 27th January, 2026 from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
