Project Details
POWERGRID has been declared as the successful bidder for establishing an Inter-State Transmission System for the project "Transmission system for Integration of Power from RE Projects in Lakadia REZ in Gujarat-Phase II (7500MW)" on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
Financial Terms
The project was awarded at quoted Annual Transmission Charges of ₹1,152.49 Crore.
Project Scope and Components
The project comprises:
- Establishment of new 765/400kV Lakadia-II Sub-station in the state of Gujarat
- Construction of 765kV transmission lines traversing through the state of Gujarat
- Installation and commissioning of associated equipment and bays
- Installation and commissioning of Synchronous condenser at Lakadia-II Sub-station

Letter of Intent (LoI) was received by POWERGRID on September 3, 2026.
