Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been declared as the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process to establish an Inter-State Transmission System for the project "Transmission system for proposed Green Hydrogen / Green Ammonia projects in Kakinada area (Phase-I)".
The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The company received the Letter of Intent (LoI) on June 12, 2026.
Project Scope
The transmission project comprises:
- Establishment of a new 765/400kV GIS Sub-station
- Installation of STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator) equipment
- Construction of 765kV transmission line works
- Project location: Andhra Pradesh state
