On 27 August 2026, PURE Energy Limited, an IIT Hyderabad‑incubated deep‑tech firm, announced the launch of its new commercial‑and‑industrial (C&I) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) under the PuREPower brand, designated PuREPower 120.0. The company describes the system as India’s first all‑in‑one integrated BESS product for C&I use, intended to replace diesel generators of 150 kVA and above.

PuREPower 120.0 combines solar‑charging capability, advanced lithium‑ion battery cells, an AI‑driven intelligent battery management system, and remote monitoring powered by Cloud AI. It also incorporates Time‑of‑Day/Time‑of‑Use (TOD/TOU) and diesel‑generator‑sync (DG‑sync) functionalities within a single unified enclosure, thereby eliminating the need for separate inverters, solar hybrid controllers, EMS/RMS units and additional battery banks that traditionally increase installation complexity, space requirements and cost.
Patented Technologies
Alongside the product launch, PURE unveiled several patented technologies slated for integration by mid‑FY28:
- Advanced nano‑phase‑change‑material (PCM) cooling combined with convection cooling,
- High‑voltage 1000 V/1500 V R‑BMS/BMU architecture,
- Advanced solid‑state battery chemistry, and
- Gallium‑Nitride (GaN) based inverter topology aimed at data‑centre and medical BESS applications.
Workshop Highlights
The launch was presented at PURE Energy’s BESS Workshop 2026 held on 22 August 2026 at the Convention Centre, IIT Hyderabad, before an audience of more than 500 representatives from corporate, EPC and technology communities across India. Sessions covered a projected 470 GWh C&I storage market size over the next six years, product architecture options (fixed versus flexible designs and various battery chemistries suited to Indian operating conditions), and a customer‑support strategy leveraging Generative AI. The company also announced new portals featuring predictive analytics and Cloud AI to give network partners real‑time visibility, alerts and rapid troubleshooting capabilities.
