Purple Bus Launches Maharashtra’s First EV Fleet

Purple Bus launches Maharashtra’s first private electric intercity bus service on the Pune‑Mumbai‑Pune corridor with 14 Switch Mobility buses.
The fleet of 14 electric buses is owned by Purple Bus, adding to its existing network of over 1,500 buses nationwide.
Launch was flagged off by Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal, underscoring government support for sustainable transport.
Directors Saurabh and Harsh Patwardhan said Purple Bus will gradually electrify its entire fleet, positioning it as a climate‑friendly mobility leader.
