QatarEnergy-Exxon Golden Pass LNG Starts 18 Mtpa

The QatarEnergy‑Exxon joint venture has begun LNG production at Golden Pass, Texas, from the first of three trains.
The 18 million‑ton‑per‑annum facility is set to deliver its first cargo and commence global exports in Q2 2026.
The plant’s output is critical after Iran’s strikes damaged Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG hub, enhancing US Gulf Coast gas supply.
CEO Darren Woods had predicted early‑March production, confirming the timeline announced in the 2019 final investment decision.
