The initiative targets the deluxe whisky segment, which is described as one of the largest in the Indian spirits market, exceeding 70 million cases annually. The company sees this segment as representing an attractive aspirational price point for millions of consumers trading up within the whisky category. The refresh is a strategic initiative aimed at sustaining growth momentum by enhancing the brand's contemporary appeal.
Brand Performance and Growth Metrics
After Dark demonstrated significant growth, with sales exceeding 60% in FY26. The brand has grown from 0.9 million cases in FY24 to crossing 3.1 million cases in FY26. The current refresh is expected to provide a fillip to this robust growth momentum.
Design and Packaging Changes
The new packaging features a refreshed design language with a striking interplay of deep blue, crisp white, and rich gold colors. The pack includes a premium tapered bottle silhouette designed to offer a sophisticated in-hand feel. Key design elements include an embossed statement ('This Is All You Need – After Dark') and a distinctive gold seal inspired by the philosophy of 'Crafted for the Night'.

The new After Dark Blue pack is being launched initially in Uttar Pradesh. The subsequent rollout will cover key markets including Assam, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Jharkhand. The full national rollout across all markets is planned to be completed within the next six months.
