Launch Overview

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, S.L. Raheja Hospital, Mahim – a Fortis associate – officially launched its Department of Women & Child Care in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The inauguration was attended by trustees Mr. Neel Raheja and Mr. Akshay Raheja, CEO Dr. Kunal Punamiya, Director Dr. S. Narayani and Medical Advisor Lt Gen (Dr) V Ravishankar.

Services Offered

The new department integrates obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics and neonatology under one roof. Obstetric services cover antenatal check‑ups, high‑risk pregnancy management, labour, delivery and postpartum support. Gynaecology addresses menstrual disorders, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, cancer screening, adolescent gynaecology and menopause care, with minimally invasive options such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Paediatric and neonatal care is delivered by a dedicated team operating round‑the‑clock, supported by a fully equipped NICU capable of handling critical and high‑risk newborns from the first hour of life. Routine immunisations, growth monitoring and management of complex paediatric conditions are also provided. The department further offers super‑specialty paediatric expertise in Cardiology, Intensive Care, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hemato‑Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplantation, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Clinical Genetics, Orthopaedics and Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics.
