Rashi Peripherals Limited has received an order from the office of the Principal Commissioner of Customs (Import), Air Cargo Complex, Andheri (East), Mumbai, with reference number F. No. GEN/ADJ/COMM/183/2026-Adjn dated May 22, 2026. The order drops proceedings against the company that were initiated via Show Cause Notice (SCN No. 808/2025-26 dated February 6, 2025).

The order confirms that the entire customs department demand of ₹3,52,79,282 (Rupees Three Crores Fifty Two Lakhs Seventy Nine Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-Two) against the company is not valid. All proceedings in the matter have been dropped.

The Show Cause Notice had alleged that the company made wrong classification of goods imported and was liable to pay additional customs duty. This demand has been entirely dropped as per the order received on May 23, 2026, at 08:30 hours.

Financial Impact

The demand of approximately ₹3.53 crore (including penalty) related to financial year 2024-25 has been dropped. This amount was previously classified as a contingent liability in the financial statements of the company. The removal of this contingent liability represents a positive financial development for the company.
