Raytheon Missiles & Defense Contract Modification
Raytheon Missiles and Defense was awarded a $1.81 billion contract modification by the U.S. Department of War for the production of hardware associated with the AN/SPY‑6(V) Family of Radars. The modification amends the previously awarded contract identified as N00024‑22‑C‑5500 and is structured as a fixed‑price incentive (firm‑target), firm‑fixed‑price, and cost‑only arrangement. The contract contains options that, if exercised, would increase the cumulative contract value to $3.39 billion.
Work under the contract will be performed at multiple U.S. locations: 30 % of the effort in Andover, Massachusetts; 10 % in San Diego, California; 10 % in Scottsdale, Arizona; and 8 % in Syracuse, New York. The baseline work is scheduled for completion by July 2031, with the possibility of continuation through October 2031 should all options be exercised.
Funding for the contract is sourced from several fiscal year appropriations: fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) funds provide $847.3 million (47 % of the total), fiscal 2025 shipbuilding and conversion funds contribute $706.9 million (39 %), and fiscal 2026 other procurement funds account for $204.6 million (11 %). Additional funding is drawn from fiscal years 2016 through 2024.
The contracting activity is the Naval Sea Systems Command located in Washington, D.C., and the award was procured under 10 U.S. Code 3204(a)(1) as the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency’s requirements.
