Announcement
Rayzon Solar Limited announced that its Research and Development laboratory located in Karanj, Surat, Gujarat has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The accreditation is effective from 12 June 2026 through 11 June 2030.
Scope of Accreditation
The NABL‑accredited facility is authorised to carry out 35 distinct photovoltaic (PV) module testing methods. It conducts testing in line with internationally recognised standards, specifically IEC 61215 (design qualification and type approval), IEC 61730 (safety qualification), IEC TS 62804‑1 (potential‑induced degradation), IEC TS 63342 (light and elevated temperature‑induced degradation), and IEC TS 63126 (high‑temperature operating conditions). Additional environmental, electrical and mechanical tests include thermal cycling, damp‑heat exposure, humidity‑freeze cycling, UV pre‑conditioning, mechanical load assessment, hail‑impact resistance, wet leakage current evaluation, insulation performance, maximum power determination, outdoor exposure studies and other reliability assessments.
Significance
The accreditation confirms that the laboratory follows ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements for calibrated equipment, qualified personnel and a robust quality‑management system, ensuring that test results are accurate, repeatable and globally credible. For project developers, financiers and end‑users, the accreditation provides independent validation of module performance and durability claims, reducing reliance on internal quality checks alone.
Operational Impact
Having an in‑house accredited testing capability enables Rayzon Solar’s engineering teams to verify design changes, evaluate new materials and perform reliability analyses without outsourcing to external labs. This is expected to shorten product‑development cycles, accelerate commercialisation of new PV modules and reinforce India’s position as a trusted hub for solar manufacturing.
