Razorpay Recognized Among World's Top Fintech Companies 2026
Razorpay, the Bengaluru‑based omnichannel payments platform for businesses, has been named in the 2026 edition of the “World’s Top Fintech Companies” list compiled by CNBC in partnership with Statista. This marks Razorpay’s fourth consecutive appearance on the list and places it among a select group of 500 companies chosen from more than 3,500 firms evaluated across over 50 countries and territories.
Razorpay is one of only eight Indian companies to make the 2026 ranking and is recognised in the Payments category, underscoring its role in enabling millions of businesses to move money daily. The ranking methodology combines company‑specific key performance indicators, desk research and an editorial and compliance review by CNBC.
The company was founded in 2014 by IIT Roorkee alumni Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur, who continue to lead the business as Co‑Founder and CEO respectively. In a statement, CEO Harshil Mathur said that the recognition validates the belief that transformative fintech infrastructure can be built in India for the world, and that as artificial intelligence reshapes financial services, Razorpay remains committed to building faster, more intelligent and trustworthy payment infrastructure.
Razorpay’s platform currently serves millions of businesses in India and has expanded its footprint to Malaysia and Singapore. The press release notes that a few angel investors have also backed the company’s mission to simplify payments and business banking.
The announcement was released on 31 July 2026 through NewsVoir under an arrangement with the source, Razorpay.
