The Ministry of Power, via its letter dated June 10, 2026, has conveyed the approval of the Competent Authority (Hon'ble President of India) for the proposed merger of REC Limited into Power Finance Corporation Limited. This approval follows the Board of Directors' decision dated May 16, 2026, where the proposal was reserved for Presidential approval.
