Announcement
RegenOrthoSport, a Hyderabad‑based leader in non‑surgical regenerative orthopedics, announced on 6 November 2026 that it has completed more than 1,000 joint‑preservation procedures for avascular necrosis (AVN) of the hip. The milestone makes it the first regenerative non‑surgical orthopedic hospital in India to surpass the 1,000‑procedure threshold.
Procedure Details
AVN, also described as bone infarction, deprives hip bone tissue of blood flow and can lead to joint collapse, most commonly affecting active adults aged 20 to 45. Traditional management of advanced AVN often requires total hip replacement surgery, whereas RegenOrthoSport employs image‑guided cellular protocols that stimulate natural revascularisation and bone repair, allowing patients to retain their native joint without invasive surgery or prolonged downtime.
Clinical Leadership
Founder and Medical Director Dr Venkatesh Movva stated that reaching 1,000 successful AVN procedures “proves that early joint preservation is highly effective as a first‑line treatment over artificial replacements.” The majority of the procedures were performed by Dr Anand Alluru, who personally executed most of the cases across the centre’s locations in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Dallas.
