Gradeless AI, a subsidiary of Jaipuria Institute of Management based in New Delhi, announced on September 25, 2026 that Tata Indian Institute of Skills (Tata IIS) has become the first corporate customer of its reflective learning platform, Rehearsal. Under the agreement, Tata IIS students and faculty will receive exclusive access to the Rehearsal platform along with hands‑on coaching on the use of generative AI in everyday learning.
Platform Overview
Rehearsal is designed to move beyond generative AI’s ability to produce quick answers by prompting students to record what they think, question what they read, defend a position, and reflect on their reasoning. The mobile app works with a student’s own material; after a lecture, case discussion, or viva, a student can record a voice note, and the app converts it into a structured note within a minute. Over a term these notes become a searchable record of how the student’s thinking evolves. The platform accepts PDFs, screenshots, YouTube videos, and WhatsApp‑shared files, summarising and saving them as notes. Students can ask the app to explain, compare, or test the content of their notes, receiving answers that cite the student’s own material and follow‑up questions rather than closing the conversation. A daily feed called Signals delivers news from the student’s field, breaking each story into what happened, what changed, a precedent, a reality check, and a prompt for the student to take a position. The app also offers practice interviews with an AI interviewer or peers, providing feedback on delivery and benchmarking against strong answers. Through the Rehearsal connector, students can query their reflections from within Claude and ChatGPT, ensuring the assistant reasons from the student’s learned material rather than a generic knowledge base.
Coaching and Simulations
In addition to the app, Rehearsal provides a suite of simulations that span personal and professional judgement scenarios. Simulations place students in contexts such as years of adult life decisions, a newly promoted consulting partner triaging an inbox, a founder defending a venture pitch before an AI coach and investor panel, an account manager negotiating a large B2B renewal, a newspaper editor identifying manipulation in rival editorials, and a retail analyst auditing a real shelf. New simulations are added continuously, and institutions can select those that align with their programmes.
Collaboration Details
Under the partnership, the Rehearsal team will coach Tata IIS students and faculty on integrating generative AI into everyday learning and will work with faculty to design reflective learning experiences around the institute’s industry‑oriented programmes. Access to the platform and the simulation suite will be provided to participating students over the coming years, complementing Tata IIS’s focus on employability by developing judgement, adaptability, and problem‑solving abilities demanded by new roles. Dr. Shiva Kakkar, Head of Business at Gradeless AI, stated that generative AI is an immensely powerful technology for self‑reflection and expressed gratitude to Tata IIS for being the first institution outside Gradeless AI’s own campuses to embark on this journey.
