TDS Provisions and Requirements
SECTION A: For All Shareholders
All shareholders must ensure the following details are updated by September 18, 2026:
- Valid and operative Permanent Account Number (PAN)
- Residential status for FY 2026-27 (Resident or Non-Resident)
- Category of Shareholder
- Email Address
- Residential Address
SECTION B: TDS Rates and Documentation
(A) RESIDENT SHAREHOLDERS
A.1 Standard TDS Rates:
- With valid PAN: 10% (Section 393(1) of Income Tax Act, 2025)
- No/Invalid/Inoperative PAN: 20% (Section 393(1) read with 397(2))
- Lower tax withholding certificate: Rate specified in certificate (Section 395)
A.2 Nil TDS Conditions:
- Resident individual shareholders receiving dividend not exceeding Rs. 10,000 during FY 2026-27
- Individuals furnishing Form 121 (earlier Form 15G/15H)
- Insurance Companies (LIC, GIC, etc.) with self-declaration
- Government, RBI, Mutual Funds specified under Schedule VII (20 & 21)
- Category I and II Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs)
- Securitisation Trusts
- National Pension Scheme Trust (NPS)
- Recognized Provident Fund, approved Pension fund, approved Superannuation Fund, approved Gratuity Fund
- Any other entity exempt under Section 393/Circular No. 18/2017
(B) NON-RESIDENT SHAREHOLDERS
- FIIs/FPIs: 20% (plus applicable surcharge and cess) or tax treaty rate whichever is beneficial
- Other Non-resident Shareholders: 20% (plus applicable surcharge and cess) or tax treaty rate whichever is beneficial
- Category III AIF located in IFSC: 10% (plus applicable surcharge and cess)
- Tax residents of 'Notified Jurisdictional Area': 30% or higher applicable rate
- Lower/NIL tax deduction certificate: Rate specified in certificate
Required documents for non-residents include PAN card, Tax Residency Certificate, Form 41 (earlier Form 10F), and self-declaration.

Important Notes
- Company reserves right to call for further information and apply domestic law/DTAA for TDS
- In case of ambiguous, incomplete or conflicting information, tax will be deducted at applicable rates
- For joint shareholders, the first-named shareholder must furnish requisite documents
- TDS certificate will be emailed to registered email IDs of shareholders
- TDS amount will be reflected in Form 26AS
