Certification Details
The AS9100D certification, audited by DNV Business Assurance USA Inc. under the Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) scheme and in accordance with AS 9104/1:2012, is technically equivalent to EN 9100:2018 and JISQ 9100:2016 standards. The certifications apply to the manufacture and supply of aluminium alloys for aerospace and defence use. The ISO 9001:2015 certification confirms the company's overall quality‑management system.
Strategic Context
The announcement notes that India currently relies on imports for several specialised aluminium alloys required by critical industries. Remal aims to reduce this dependence by producing aluminium alloys for extrusion and forging sectors, leveraging advanced production facilities and robust quality‑control systems designed for consistency, efficiency and material integrity.

Remal states that achieving AS9100D strengthens its capability to serve the aerospace and defence sectors and supports the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by building domestic capability in materials traditionally imported.
