Announcement
Repay Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: RPAY) announced a collaboration with Visa to resell Visa Platform Connect, leading to a 3.8% rise in its after‑hours share price on Wednesday.
Partnership Details
Under the agreement, Repay will serve as the clearing and settlement backend for independent sales organizations (ISOs) and independent software vendors (ISVs), granting them direct access to VisaNet and the broader Visa payment solutions ecosystem. The arrangement places Repay among a select group of U.S. processors that will bring Visa Platform Connect to the independent sales channel.
ISOs that have built their own authorization frameworks can integrate with Visa Platform Connect and utilise Repay’s consolidated clearing and settlement infrastructure. The collaboration removes the need for ISOs and ISVs to route transactions through legacy third‑party processors, thereby reducing additional costs and operational complexity.
The platform provides a single API connection supporting both card‑present and card‑not‑present transactions, and includes capabilities such as fraud management, tokenization, and dispute resolution. Clients will also obtain Visa’s real‑time money‑movement features, notably push‑to‑card disbursements that enable fund delivery within minutes.
Connections can be established in less than six weeks, and the solution incorporates compliance management for EMV and PCI‑DSS requirements.
Executive Comment
Melissa Kirk, Senior Vice President, Clearing and Settlement at Repay, stated that “Technology‑forward ISOs and ISVs have built sophisticated authorization capabilities and are looking for modern infrastructure to support full payment processing.”
Business Implications
Repay’s proprietary payment technology platform will now offer integrated bill‑payment solutions to verticals with specific transaction‑processing needs, leveraging the Visa Platform Connect ecosystem.
