Overview

RISM invites applications for its 2026 academic programmes, as announced on Monday, 29 June 2026. The institute will admit students to five programmes: B.Tech in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence (180 seats), B.Tech in Electrical Sciences (120 seats), B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering (120 seats), Bachelor of Business Administration (120 seats) and Master of Business Administration (30 seats). The top 20 % of students in each programme will be eligible for an 80 % tuition‑fee scholarship.

RISM operates under a knowledge partnership with the University at Albany, State University of New York, which will jointly design and deliver the curricula. The partnership extends to joint programme design and delivery, leveraging the U.S. university’s expertise.

All programmes will follow a fully residential model, offering a holistic environment that includes sports, cultural activities, wellness initiatives and life‑skills development alongside academic instruction. The institute will host industry‑sponsored Centres of Excellence, internships, research projects, entrepreneurship support and global learning opportunities.

Academic operations will commence from a transit campus in Yelahanka in August 2026. The permanent residential campus is being constructed in Bengaluru’s Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) near Devanahalli and is expected to be fully operational by September 2027.
