Riverview Bancorp Announces $4 Million Share Repurchase Program

Riverview Bancorp Inc (NASDAQ:RVSB), the bank‑holding company based in Vancouver, Washington, disclosed that its Board of Directors approved a stock buyback on August 20, 2026. The program authorises the repurchase of up to $4.0 million of the company’s outstanding common shares. Purchases may be executed in the open market at prevailing prices or through privately negotiated transactions, and the program will remain in effect for 12 months from the effective date or until the $4 million limit is reached, whichever occurs first. The company reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the program at any time based on market conditions.

President and Chief Executive Officer Nicole Sherman stated that the authorization reflects the Board’s confidence in the company’s financial strength and disciplined capital management, describing the buyback as a use of excess capital that supports shareholder interests.

In addition, the Board authorized management to establish a Rule 10b5‑1 trading plan with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. to facilitate share repurchases, enabling trades during periods when the company might otherwise be restricted due to possession of material non‑public information or internal blackout periods.

Riverview Bancorp reported assets of $1.47 billion as of June 30, 2026. The firm operates 17 branches, including 13 in the Portland‑Vancouver area, and maintains three lending centers. It is the parent company of Riverview Bank and Riverview Trust Company.
